Job summary

Newcastle Building Society’s West Denton branch is seeking a Customer Adviser to deliver outstanding local service. You will greet customers, understand their needs and process everyday banking tasks in a friendly, face-to-face setting.

The role offers 35 hours per week (Mon–Fri 9am–5pm, Saturdays on a rota until 12pm) with a structured 12-week training programme to help you grow and progress within the Society.

Qualifications

• Excellent people skills and ability to build relationships with customers.
• Strong listening and empathy to understand customer needs.
• Natural team player who works well with colleagues to deliver great service.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills in financial services.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and build rapport at the counter.
• Open accounts, process transactions and cash handling.
• Set up tills and prepare for the day’s operations.
• Book appointments and support customer financial needs.
• Cash up and close the day with accuracy.
