Job summary

Newcastle Building Society is hiring a Customer Adviser to join our branch teams. In this face-to-face role you will greet customers, listen to their needs, help with transactions, opening savings accounts and daily till duties.

You will work 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am-5pm with Saturday rota, and receive a structured 12-week training programme, a competitive package including a bonus scheme, pension, life cover, and access to discounts.

Qualifications

Being great with people and building relationships with customers is essential.
Strong listening skills and the ability to empathise are important.
A natural team player who collaborates with branch colleagues to deliver outstanding customer experience.
Desire to learn and develop new skills will help you flourish in the role.
A tailored 12-week training programme and development conversations are provided.

Responsibilities

Open tills and prepare for the day ahead; process customer transactions at the counter.
Assist in opening savings accounts and manage cashing up at the end of the day.
Book customer appointments and respond to daily customer needs with a high level of service.
Engage with customers to understand their financial goals and provide support.
