Job summary

Newcastle Building Society is seeking a Customer Adviser to join our high-street branch team. You will engage with customers daily, listen to their financial needs, and help execute transactions while delivering a warm, local service.

The role includes a 12-week tailored training programme, development conversations, and opportunities to grow your career within our mutual society in the UK. Work hours are 35 per week, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Great with people and building relationships with customers.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to empathise.
• Natural team player, enjoys working with branch colleagues.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Responsibilities

• Open and set up tills for the day and prepare cash handling.
• Process customer transactions at the counter.
• Assist in opening savings accounts and cashing up at close.
• Provide outstanding customer service and build local relationships.
