Job summary

Nationwide Building Society is recruiting a Customer Representative for our Alfreton, Derbyshire branch. This permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week, Mon–Sat) supports customers in branch, on the phone and online, delivering friendly, helpful service to everyday banking moments.

You’ll need a patient, empathetic approach and confidence using digital services. Prior experience is welcome but not essential, with a strong focus on service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is helpful but not required.
• Ability to guide customers with clarity and care.
• Comfort using digital banking tools and branch tech.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs.
• Handle transactions and queries accurately while prioritising security and fairness.
• Guide customers through banking products and services to manage their money.
• Support colleagues in a busy branch environment to deliver excellent service.
• Follow processes and escalate concerns to protect customers and Nationwide.
