Job summary

Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is recruiting Work Coaches to assist customers with welfare and employment support. The role focuses on providing personalised, face-to-face and digital guidance to help individuals find and maintain work, while navigating benefits such as Universal Credit.

You will work on-site within the DWP estate, dealing with diverse cases and collaborating with partners to connect customers with suitable opportunities and services.

Qualifications

• Experience in helping customers face-to-face, digitally or by phone.
• Ability to explain benefits and job support clearly and empathetically.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to customers claiming Universal Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Jobseeker's Allowance and Income Support.
• Offer quality advice on job search actions and match customers to suitable vacancies.
• Meet legal duties under the Equality Act 2010 and ensure customers receive appropriate support.
• Build positive relationships and trust with customers and partners.
• Develop knowledge of local employment opportunities and available support services.
• Make timely decisions based on customer needs and direct to appropriate help.
• Be accountable for performance and case-load management.
