Job summary

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is recruiting Work Coaches to support customers face to face and digitally, helping them progress towards work and access universal credit and other support.

Roles involve working on site in the DWP estate, providing tailored coaching, handling a varied caseload, and contributing to a fair and inclusive public service.

This campaign offers multiple locations in the UK, with travel or relocation to preferred posts as needed.

Qualifications

• Face-to-face and digital customer service skills.
• Commitment to the Equality Act 2010 and inclusive service.
• Ability to work with diverse customers and partners.

Responsibilities

• Providing support to customers claiming Universal Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Jobseekers Allowance and Income Support.
• Offering quality advice to customers about job search actions in a largely digital world.
• Meeting your legal duty to comply with the Equality Act 2010 and making sure your customers get the additional support and advice to help them access our services.
• Building positive relationships with customers that encourages, motivates, and builds trust.
• Developing an in-depth knowledge of local employment opportunities and the support our service partners offer.
• Making timely decisions, based on customer needs, and referring them to appropriate help and support.
• Be accountable for performance and management of your caseload.
