Job summary

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is seeking a Work Coach to assist customers face-to-face, helping them access employment support and navigate benefits. You will deliver tailored coaching to promote progression into work and support diverse client needs.

You will work on site in DWP estates, offering empathetic guidance, building employer connections, and helping customers identify suitable vacancies to move into sustainable work.

Qualifications

• Role involves face-to-face support for customers.
• Provide coaching and advice to help customers find and progress in a job.
• Work on site in a DWP estate.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to customers claiming Universal Credit and other benefits.
• Offer quality job-search advice and match to suitable vacancies.
• Ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010 and provide additional support where needed.
• Build positive relationships with customers to build trust and progress.
• Develop knowledge of local employment opportunities and partner services.
• Make timely decisions and refer customers to appropriate help.
• Be accountable for performance and manage a caseload.
