Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking SEND Tutors to deliver one-to-one support for children and young people with diverse needs. Roles include Specialist Teacher, Intervention Tutor, and SEND Teacher, with flexible in-person, hybrid, and remote teaching options.

Applicants should have at least 2 years post-NQT experience, QTS/QTLS, and a commitment to trauma-informed, student-centred education. Safety, DBS clearance, and references are required. Applications welcome on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD
• QTS or QTLS
• Ability to work in a child-centred, holistic and trauma-informed way
• Enhanced DBS required (facilitated if needed) and 2+ references
• Based in the UK with right to work, including remote/online options

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report lessons with progress updates and feedback
• Adapt tutoring to EHCP and risk assessments for individual students
