Job summary

SENse Learning seeks dedicated SEND Tutors in the UK to deliver one-to-one support across KS1–KS5 in person, online, or hybrid settings. You will design bespoke, trauma-informed lessons for children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs, reporting on progress and adapting to EHCPs.

Ideal candidates hold QTS/QTLS, have at least 2 years post-NQT teaching experience with SEND, and possess an Enhanced DBS plus two references.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a trauma-informed setting.
• QTS / QTLS required; safeguarding knowledge and DBS checks are part of the process.
• Enhanced DBS and two professional references are required.
• Based in the UK with right to work, including remote/online roles.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and deliver flexible, trauma-informed lessons; tailor to EHCP and risk assessments.
• Keep records and report progress, with regular feedback to parents, carers, or schools.
