Job summary

SENse Learning is hiring Learning Support Assistants in the UK to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners across home, school and community settings. Roles are available on a flexible, ongoing basis with in-person, hybrid and remote options and rolling interviews.

You will develop strong relationships, deliver creative, trauma-informed strategies to boost life skills, confidence and independence, while safeguarding and DBS checks are supported.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs (e.g. ASC, ADHD, SEMH).
• Background: suitable for roles like LSAs, TAs, Youth Workers or carers in education.
• Approach: child-centered, holistic and creative curriculum delivery.
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Support life skills, confidence and independence development.
• Use trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies for diverse needs.
• Understand emotional regulation and model it for learners.
• Provide feedback and reflections to track progress and adapt support.
