Job summary

SENse Learning seeks a Learning Support Assistant to provide one-to-one mentoring and tailored learning support for young people with SEND. Roles span Education Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, and Education Mentor with in-person, hybrid, and community-based sessions.

Role involves building strong relationships, applying trauma-informed strategies, and supporting life skills in homes and communities. DBS and references required; UK work rights essential.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, etc.).
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating safe learning environments.
• Understanding of child-centered, holistic approaches and flexible teaching methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with challenging backgrounds.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative, interest-based activities.
• Support life skills, confidence, and independence development; model emotional regulation.
• Provide feedback to track progress and adapt support as needed.
