Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Education Assistants to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners, delivering sessions in homes and within the community with flexible in-person, hybrid, and community-based opportunities.

The role focuses on building confidence, emotional regulation, and life skills using trauma-informed approaches. Experience with complex needs, Enhanced DBS, and two references are required for self-employed work in the UK.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs.
• Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• Self-employed status is welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people in homes and community settings.
• Provide one-to-one support and deliver creative activities aligned with the EHCP.
• Support life skills, confidence, and independence using trauma-informed approaches.
• Offer feedback and reflections to track progress and adapt support.
