Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking an Education Mentor to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners, in homes and community settings across the UK. Your role includes trauma-informed guidance, building confidence, and developing life skills alongside academic support.

The position is self-employed with flexible hours, offering meaningful work with a mission to ensure no student is left behind. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and encourage early applications.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience working with children or young people with complex additional needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH, EBSA, trauma, PDA, mental health).
• Experience within child-centred, holistic approaches is desirable.
• Compliant with safeguarding guidelines and able to obtain DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with children and young people in homes and community settings.
• Provide one-to-one support and deliver creative, interest-based activities.
• Support life skills, confidence, and independence using trauma-informed approaches.
• Model and encourage emotional regulation and flexible strategies to meet diverse needs.
