Job summary

SENse Learning is hiring Learning Support Assistants to provide one-to-one mentoring and learning support for SEND learners across the UK. The role offers in-person, hybrid, and community-based work with flexible hours to fit client and school schedules.

You will develop life skills and emotional regulation through creative, student-centered sessions, improving engagement and independence for often disengaged learners.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people with complex needs (e.g. ASC, SEMH).
• Enhanced DBS and two professional references are required.
• Based in the UK with right to work, including for remote/online roles.
• Ability to adapt teaching and support to individual learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, positive relationships with learners.
• Provide one-to-one support in homes and community settings with creative activities.
• Support development of life skills, confidence and independence.
• Apply trauma-informed approaches and flexible strategies.
• Model emotional regulation and track progress with feedback.
