Job summary

Mansfield District Council is seeking an enthusiastic, professional and experienced systems support technician to join our busy ICT team.

As the first point of contact, you will provide end-user support, investigate and resolve ICT issues, deploy desktop hardware and peripherals, and maintain knowledge base articles and asset registers. You will need strong communication skills via telephone, email and face-to-face contact and handle enquiries in a helpful, professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Experience resolving end-user ICT issues.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic DBS check will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to end users and act as first point of contact.
  • Investigate and resolve hardware and software ICT issues.
  • Configure and deploy desktop hardware and peripherals.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and asset registers.

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, professional, and experienced systems support technician to join our busy ICT team at Mansfield District Council.

As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in providing support to end users and undertaking a wide range of duties including the investigation and resolution of technical hardware and software issues, configuration and deployment of desktop hardware and peripherals along with developing and maintaining knowledge base articles and asset registers.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills via telephone, email and face-to-face contact whilst handling a wide range of enquiries in a helpful and professional manner.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience in the investigation and resolution of end user ICT issues and queries
  • Strong communication skills and a confident approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen interest in ICT and new technologies

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Basic DBS check.
