Job summary

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking an ICT Support Team Manager to lead the ICT Support Team, delivering the work programme and ensuring critical systems remain available for operational and emergency functions.

You will identify training needs, support procurement activities, and report on progress against targets. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience managing ICT teams.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritise work under changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Manage the ICT Support Team in delivering their work programme ensuring tasks, requests and project work are dealt with appropriately to ensure the efficient delivery of the ICT Service.
• Identify specific training and development requirements for staff and tailor according to need via a strategy of initial acquisition and maintenance of skills.
• Support the ICT Planning and Support Manager for all procurements ensuring equipment is compliantly procured in line with the Capital Hardware Replacement Program or Service Revenue budgets and within the forecasted budget requirements.
