Job summary

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service in Dorchester invites applications for an ICT Support Team Manager. You will lead the ICT Support Team, ensure timely responses to incidents, and balance service delivery with staff development and training.

The role requires driving, flexibility for evening/weekend work, and hybrid working options with a base in the Dorchester area. Salary £45,529–£48,737 with annual increments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate relevant management experience or equivalent at E grade or higher (if internal).
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral; maintain a positive attitude with customers under pressure.
• Ability to monitor progress against targets and prioritise work under changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Manage the ICT Support Team in delivering their work programme; respond to fault notifications to ensure critical equipment remains available for operations and emergencies.
• Identify training requirements and enable staff development to ensure end users’ systems familiarity and training.
• Support procurements to ensure compliant equipment procurement within budget and capital/revenue programs.
