Job summary

Maldon District Council is seeking an ICT Technical Analyst to support the delivery of ICT and digital projects, working in partnership with Essex Shared Services. The role offers hybrid working with an expectation to attend the office 2 days per week.

You will coordinate tasks across applications and infrastructure, ensure governance and security compliance, and support testing, rollout and transition of ICT solutions into operational support.

Qualifications

• Educated to A level standard or equivalent or demonstrable IT/project support experience.
• Experience in supporting IT projects, systems implementation or infrastructure in a customer-focused environment.
• Qualification in IT, digital technologies or project support, or willingness to work towards one.
• Commitment to continuous professional development in IT systems or project delivery methodologies.
• Knowledge of IT project delivery principles and ICT governance, standards and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks, resources and activities across ICT project workstreams.
• Support planning, scheduling and progress tracking; manage risks and actions.
• Provide specialist input for new systems, upgrades and infrastructure changes.
• Liaise with internal services, ICT colleagues and external suppliers.
• Support testing, rollout and handover of ICT solutions into BAU.
• Maintain accurate project records and progress updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and tools.
• Ensure projects align with technical standards and council policies.
