Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking a Traffic Control Systems Engineer to deliver high‑quality projects across the transport sector, improving journeys and safety for communities.

Based from offices in Bristol, Birmingham, Epsom or Nottingham with hybrid working, you will manage Traffic Signal and ITS schemes from inception to operation, liaise with clients, mentor junior staff and produce technical reports and presentations to a range of clients. This role may require short travel across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Traffic Signal and ITS schemes.
• Ability to liaise with clients and provide technical solutions.
• Ability to supervise and guide junior staff on delivery.
• Knowledge of health and safety and CDM principles.
• Professional registration with a relevant institute is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Traffic Signal and ITS schemes from inception to operation.
• Liaise with clients to provide technical advice and progress delivery.
• Mentor less experienced staff on technical delivery and project management.
• Produce high-quality technical reports and presentations.
• Develop commercial knowledge including cost estimates and scopes.
• Handle project management tasks including budgets and risks.
• Work in a team or independently to ensure on-time delivery.
