AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Traffic Control Systems Engineer to join its UK team. Based from one of our offices in Bristol, Birmingham, Epsom or Nottingham, the role offers hybrid working and occasional travel.

You will deliver traffic signal and ITS schemes from inception to operation, liaising with clients to provide technical solutions and guiding junior staff on delivery. The role emphasizes high-quality reports, presentations, and commercial awareness, including cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of design processes and best practice, traffic signals / highways design and traffic signal operation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and able to develop innovative solutions and processes.
• Ability to learn new skills and understand complex technical projects.
• Good communication skills, including presentations and client meetings.
• Ability to deliver outputs on multiple projects for various clients.
• Strong awareness of Health and Safety issues and CDM.
• Either already a member of or keen to become a member of a relevant Professional Institute and obtain professional registration.

Responsabilités

• Deliver traffic signal and ITS schemes from inception to operation.
• Liaise with clients to provide technical advice and progress delivery.
• Guide less experienced staff on technical delivery and project management.
• Deliver high quality technical reports and presentations.
• Develop commercial knowledge, including preparation of cost estimates and scopes.
• Undertake project management tasks, including monitoring budgets and risks.
• Work as part of a team or individually to ensure delivery to budget, time and quality.
