Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Traffic Control Systems Engineer to lead high- quality projects across the UK, delivering traffic signal and ITS schemes from inception to operation. You will engage clients, guide junior staff, and contribute to reports and presentations while managing budgets and risks.

The role is based from multiple UK offices with hybrid working; occasional travel across the UK may be required. A path toward professional registration is encouraged and supported.

Qualifications

• Experience leading feasibility, preliminary and detailed design activities.
• Proven ability to deliver projects to budget, time and quality.
• Strong client engagement and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise delivery of Traffic Signal and ITS schemes from inception to operation.
• Engage with clients to provide technical advice and progress delivery.
• Mentor and develop junior staff on technical delivery and project management.
• Prepare and review high quality technical reports and presentations.
• Develop cost estimates and project scopes; manage budgets and risks.
• Direct and manage projects across UK, with occasional travel.
