Hybrid Support Engineer

Location: Bristol (UK travel required)

Salary: £32,682 – £38,300

Type: Full‑time, Permanent

We’re looking for an experienced Hybrid Support Engineer to assist the Rental department in managing and supporting the new hybrid fleet. This role involves coordinating between depot staff and customers, helping with installations, and supporting engineers with hybrid energy systems on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with sales and rental teams to ensure correct equipment specification
  • Provide 2nd line customer support, resolving queries and confirming requirements
  • Attend customer project kick‑off meetings as required
  • Assist engineers with installation and training on hybrid systems
  • Manage maintenance and upkeep of hybrid fleet assets
  • Liaise with depot staff and hire administration to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor installations and provide feedback to service and sales teams
  • Report lost or damaged hire equipment with proper documentation
  • Maintain tidy and safe work areas, complying with health & safety policies
  • Support ISO procedures for quality, environmental, and H&S compliance
Skills & Experience
  • Background in BSS / energy storage / hybrid systems
  • Understanding of the generator / plant hire market
  • Knowledge of electrical installations and system loading
  • Strong organisational, IT, and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible approach to work, including occasional overnight stays
