Job summary

Seco Support in Gateshead is seeking a Service Manager to lead a small team delivering personalised support for Jordan. You will visit him at home regularly, supervise staff, manage rotas and training, and oversee service finances to ensure high-quality, compliant care.

This hands-on role requires empathy, resilience, and excellent communication, with a hybrid office/field schedule in a person-centred environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ/Health & Social Care Diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience managing a service for vulnerable adults.
• Full induction and DBS check provided.

Responsibilities

• Visit Jordan and the team at his home on a regular basis.
• Manage training, annual leave and rotas for the team.
• Oversee finances for Jordan's service and Seco Supports finances.
• Ensure Employment Hero is completed for all team members and up to date.
• Conduct formal supervision, probation and appraisals.
• Update risk assessments and support plans.
• Ensure Jordan's service complies with CQC standards.
• Lead reviews and update Jordan's support and PBS plan.
• Meet with Jordan's parents and professional team.
• Interview and support new team members.
• Be part of a local on-call service.
• Provide direct support to Jordan when required.
