Job summary

Allianz UK is seeking a Retail Motor Technical Pricing Manager to lead the team responsible for building and maintaining pricing models for Direct Motor. You will drive model refreshes, leverage migrated data assets, and work with the Data Science team to ensure high data quality and robust pricing capabilities.

You will manage a team of six and collaborate across global pricing functions to keep methods at the cutting edge, balancing business needs with advanced analytics.

Qualifications

• Strong background in volume-lines technical pricing, with knowledge of Machine Learning (GBM) techniques and GLMs.
• Business-minded and commercially focused, ideally with prior experience in the UK motor insurance industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team and manage stakeholder relationships within the UK and wider global business.
• Previous project management/steering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in developing and maintaining pricing models for Direct Motor, covering all aspects of the technical price build.
• Oversee a team of 6 FTE and collaborate with the central data team to ensure data quality and modelling needs are met.
• Drive regular model refreshes (GBM/GLM), and supervise R&D phases to improve processes and feature sets.
• Share expertise with other pricing teams across Allianz and learn from global pricing excellence.
