Job summary

The University of Huddersfield seeks an experienced Digital Workspace Manager to lead the 2nd Line IT Services’ Digital Workspace Team. You will shape technical roadmaps for end-user environments and deliver secure, resilient, and optimized services that underpin the digital experience across Schools and Services.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level in a computing or IT-related subject, or possessing equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Experience of managing, motivating, and developing technical staff within an IT platform engineering environment.
• Willingness to work towards ITIL Foundation certification and Chartered Membership of the CMI within the first 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage, motivate and develop the Digital Workspace Team and provide leadership for end-user operating systems and device management platforms.
• Provide technical and operational leadership for Windows, macOS, Active Directory, Intune, MECM/ECM, Jamf Pro, and related tooling.
• Develop and implement a roadmap for end-user digital workspace technologies aligned with University strategy and ITSM best practice.
• Engage with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure consistent service delivery and informed purchasing decisions.
