Job summary

London-based End User Computing Engineer role with DGH Recruitment Limited. The role focuses on developing, securing, and improving a modern Windows end-user computing environment, including Windows 11 lifecycle management, Intune, MECM and AVD.

You will automate repeatable tasks, enhance user experience, and collaborate with IT Systems, Security, Applications teams and third-party partners. Requirements include strong PowerShell scripting, expertise in MECM/Intune/AVD, and experience packaging

Qualifications

• Experience with MECM, Intune, AVD, Windows Autopilot, and desktop app packaging.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 endpoint and identity services including Intune, Windows Autopilot, MECM coexistence, Entra ID and configuration policies.
• Experience deploying Windows 11 desktop builds, lifecycle management and device security.
• Experience creating and maintaining customised Windows OS builds at a global scale.
• Strong PowerShell scripting ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot application deployments across Windows OS builds, MECM, Intune and AVD environments.
• Manage automated Windows OS patching, compliance and remediation, ensuring devices stay secure and up to date.
• Package, deploy and maintain applications using Intune, MECM, PSADT, Win32 packaging, MSI/InstallShield and App-V where required.
• Develop and maintain zero-touch provisioning and device lifecycle processes using Windows Autopilot, Intune and Entra ID.
• Act as a technical resource for PMO projects, progressing tasks within timescales and budgets.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and support procedures.

DGH Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a global client based in London who are looking for an End User Computing Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

About the Role

• The role will develop, secure and continuously improve their modern Windows end-user computing environment.
• The role will focus on Windows 11 lifecycle management, Microsoft Intune, MECM, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows Autopilot, application packaging and endpoint security.
• The successful candidate will combine strong hands-on technical capability with the ability to automate repeatable tasks, improve user experience, and work closely with IT Systems, Security, Applications and third-party partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot application deployments across Windows OS builds, MECM, Intune and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
• Manage automated Windows OS patching, compliance and remediation, ensuring devices remain secure, supported and up to date.
• Package, deploy and maintain applications using modern deployment methods, including Intune, MECM, PSADT, Win32 application packaging and appropriate legacy technologies such as MSI, InstallShield and App-V where required.
• Develop and maintain zero-touch provisioning and device lifecycle processes using Windows Autopilot, Intune and Entra ID to support consistent, secure and scalable device deployment.
• Act as a technical resource for projects managed by the PMO, progressing assigned projects and tasks within agreed timescales and budgets.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles and support procedures, ensuring information remains accurate and accessible.

Required Skills

• In-depth knowledge of MECM, application packaging, PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT), Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD/Nerdio) and standard desktop applications, including Microsoft Office, Adobe and antivirus products.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 endpoint and identity services, including Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, MECM coexistence, Entra ID, configuration profiles, compliance policies and Conditional Access.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows 11 desktop deployment, configuration, maintenance and lifecycle management.
• Experience creating, maintaining and deploying customised Windows operating system builds on a global scale.
• Strong PowerShell and scripting ability.
