Job summary

The AA in Oldbury is seeking a JLR Technical Advisor to deliver expert remote technical support for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles. You’ll diagnose faults, guide remote fixes, and arrange roadside assistance when needed. This hybrid role requires 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent), with hands-on experience and strong communication skills to clearly explain technical information.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Significant hands-on experience within the motor vehicle repair industry.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and confidently.
• Good IT skills and confidence using multiple computer systems.
• A customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering great service.
• A flexible attitude, with availability to work a rota covering Monday to Sunday between 8:00am and 7:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert remote technical support to customers experiencing vehicle issues.
• Assess each situation and determine the most effective solution, including remote guidance or roadside assistance when needed.
• Accurately record technical information across multiple systems to improve diagnostics and decision-making.
