Job summary

The AA is seeking a Technical Helpdesk Advisor in Oldbury to provide telephone-based technical support and expert advice to customers and patrol staff. You will guide repairs, ensure attendance only for genuine breakdowns, and record accurate information using company systems.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle maintenance, strong problem solving and clear communication skills, and a flexible approach to shift work, including weekends.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Proven experience in the motor vehicle repair industry.
• Able to explain technical information clearly to customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential technical support, advice, and repair fixes to customers.
• Ensure attendance is limited to genuine breakdown scenarios.
• Record data accurately using relevant databases and systems.
