Job summary

Barhale in Peterborough is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery on major infrastructure projects. You will maintain cost data, quality reporting and interface with clients and subcontractors to maximise value.

The role requires a HND/degree in Quantity Surveying, knowledge of ICE/NEC contract forms, and strong numeracy and communication skills. A proactive team player who can work to tight deadlines is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry is essential.
• HND or degree in Quantity Surveying is required.
• Familiar with ICE/NEC forms and contract knowledge.
• Experience in commercial management and procurement of subcontractors.
• Strong ability to produce monthly cost reporting and earned value analysis.
• Good numeracy, communication and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial support to project teams and maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting.
• Prepare applications for payment and variations with clients.
• Forecast expenditure, cash recovery and value improvement.
• Collaborate with site teams to enable effective cost control.
