Job summary

The University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre is recruiting a Project Coordinator to support a portfolio of AMRC projects. The role is hybrid, permanent, and involves ensuring timely project delivery across groups with a focus on finance status and reporting.

You will work closely with PMs and operational teams, developing portfolio processes and contributing to governance. Strong communication, organisation and PM method experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant project coordinator / project support experience.
• Client facing / customer service work experience at team level
• IT skills across Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project intermediate to advanced standard.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, report writing and presentations support.
• Highly organized with a methodical and structured approach.
• Experience of supporting a range of project management approaches including waterfall, hybrid and agile.
• Awareness of Risk Management.
• PM qualification PFQ, Prince 2, Agile or demonstrable equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Project Management Community to plan, administer and deliver team projects.
• Research, collate, organise, and edit material for inclusion in reports and other documents.
• Interpret and communicate results to Project Manager, Senior Project Manager and other operational areas.
• Present own work and team data results to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in securing key partnership projects and maintain partnerships with AMRC partner companies.
• Plan and carry out tasks over short-medium term with awareness of longer-term issues.
• Monitor milestones, finance, resourcing and quality within a large portfolio of work.
• Support preparation for presentations and reports, including finance status.
• Carry out other duties commensurate with the grade.
