Job summary

Somerset Council in Taunton is seeking an MIS Support Technician to provide day-to-day support for management information systems, CRM platforms and reporting across Connect to Work and Community Learning. You will work closely with the Strategic Data Lead to maintain accurate information, assist users and help improve systems and processes.

In this hybrid role you’ll balance busy workloads, resolve queries and contribute to service improvements, ensuring data integrity and effective information

Qualifications

• Experience supporting business systems, databases, CRM platforms, management information systems or similar systems.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience troubleshooting system issues and supporting users.
• Confidence working with data and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond positively to changing requirements.
• A proactive approach to improving systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for programme management information systems and CRM platforms.
• Support colleagues with data and system queries, user access requests and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with day-to-day CRM administration, system configuration, maintenance and testing.
• Help implement system and process changes driven by service developments, reporting requirements and business needs.
• Produce and maintain user guides, process documentation and training materials.
• Monitor data quality and support the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
