Job summary

National Highways is recruiting for a Lead Service Manager role to drive DevSecOps delivery within Infrastructure & Platforms. You will oversee governance, funding, and strategic roadmaps while managing a senior delivery lead and a third-party supplier.

The role is hybrid, with two days per week in the office, based at a National Highways location with UK travel as needed. Strong commercial acumen and agile expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of cloud compute hyper-scalers (e.g. MS Azure, Amazon AWS).
• Proven ability to manage a service provider derived DevSecOps delivery team to achieve optimum sprint velocity and delivery of critical business outcomes.
• Outstanding understanding of Agile and ADO principles and processes, applying technical knowledge in project or programme environments.
• Demonstrable evidence of influencing team dynamics and collaborative working.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic outcomes utilising the DevSecOps capability within Infrastructure & Platforms.
• Manage the budget for the DevSecOps practise and managed services contract.
• Prepare governance artifacts for commercial sourcing of cloud compute services and capabilities (e.g., Business Cases).
• Provide strategic input into short, medium and long-term cloud compute roadmaps for Infra & Platforms.
• Lead a Senior Service Delivery Manager / Product Owner and matrix-manage a third-party supplier.
