BlupaceTech, a Belfast-based IT development company, is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer for a contractual role. The candidate will provide day-to-day local/remote desktop support, handle inbound calls, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and document steps in the ticketing system.

Some work off-hours may be required. The role requires 3–5 years of IT experience, Windows 10-11, AD, Office 365, and ITSM familiarity.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• CompTIA A+, MCP or better.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant IT experience.
• Windows 10-11, Active Directory, GPOs, Office 365, hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Basic networking devices like switches, routers, firewalls; wireless APs and controllers.
• English speaking with local language proficiency.
• Mobile device management including iOS and Android; Enterprise encryption; AD-based PC management.
• Proven analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with ITSM tools and ServiceNow.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet SLAs.
• Excellent communication and internal customer service skills.
• Willing to work off-hours and weekends when required.

Aufgaben

• Provide first/second level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
• Work with vendors to remediate complex AV issues as needed.
• Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution.
• Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and Office 365; Cisco Jabber; other desktop apps.
• Support Mac OS for Apple PC users.
• Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot printers and computer hardware.
• Perform preventative maintenance on computers, laptops, printers, etc.
• Perform remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot network connectivity and workstation issues.
• Broad IT knowledge including networks, servers, AV, smart devices and telecom.
