Job summary

Girling Jones Limited is seeking a Bid Coordinator to join the South West work-winning team. Based from Plymouth, Exeter or Bristol with hybrid working, the role focuses on coordinating tenders, ensuring compliant submissions and timely delivery.

You'll bring bidding experience in construction/infrastructure, strong Microsoft Office and proofreading skills, and familiarity with Adobe InDesign/Illustrator and Visio. A clear path for career progression is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven proposals or bidding experience in construction or infrastructure.
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• Strong skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) and Visio.
• Proposals training such as Shipley or Winning Bids Masterclass.
• Excellent proofreading and document production skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet fixed deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation of tenders, PQQs, expressions of interest, case studies, presentations and other proposal documentation.
• Gather information across teams to assemble cohesive submissions.
• Format documents to be professional and brand-consistent.
• Ensure submissions meet client requirements and internal standards.
• Produce graphics and supporting content for proposals.
• Manage tender portals and client communications within deadlines.
• Maintain knowledge management content for future bids.
• Attend bid kick-off meetings and post-submission reviews.
