Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support commercial management and procurement within our Integrated Maintenance and Repair Water Recycling Alliance.

You will help manage costs, accruals, forecasts and contractual compliance while developing technical capability and stakeholder relationships. Based in Huntingdon and Peterborough with hybrid working, the role requires strong IT skills, financial acumen and the ability to drive continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• Strong IT knowledge and MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Numerate and analytical with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in managing commercial and cost aspects of projects, ensuring cost control, value maximisation, risk management and adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Demonstrate solid understanding of contractual obligations and ensure compliance across project activities.
• Support management of accurate commercial records, audits, cost assurance and Final Account delivery.
• Identify efficiencies across projects while following Alliance and client governance procedures.
• Maintain close relationships with the Senior QS (Central) and Commercial Managers.
• Support continuous improvement of commercial processes, systems, and tools.
• Challenge performance, provide commercial insight, and recommend actions to improve efficiencies and drive high performance.
• Support Early Warning, Risk Reduction Meetings, risk identification and mitigation across the project team.
• Support Purchase Order processes, ensuring procurement compliance and accurate financial coding.
