Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a hybrid role based around Huntingdon & Peterborough. You will support commercial management, cost control, risk mitigation and contract performance, while incidentally driving data-informed decision making.

You will develop technical capability, promote safe working practices and contribute to continuous improvement in commercial processes and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Strong IT knowledge (MS Office)
• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise
• Positive attitude and ability to integrate into teams
• Strong Numerate and Analytical Skills with attention to detail and a critical thinking mind
• Strong Communication Skills both written and oral with ability to challenge and influence
• Experience of monthly reporting cycles and commercial reports
• Experience working with SAP
• Experience working in an office environment
• Commercial Awareness and understanding of risk and risk management

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in managing commercial and cost aspects of projects, ensuring cost control and value optimisation
• Demonstrate understanding of contractual obligations and ensure compliance across activities
• Support management of accurate commercial records for audits and Final Accounts
• Identify efficiencies across projects while following governance procedures
• Maintain close working relationships with Senior QS and Commercial Managers
• Support continuous improvement of commercial processes, systems and tools
• Challenge performance and provide commercial insight to drive efficiencies
• Support Early Warning process and procurements to mitigate risks and stay within budgets
