Job summary

Computershare Communication Services (CCS) in Bristol is seeking an Application Support Specialist to monitor applications, server environments and automated workflows, ensuring reliability and performance.

You’ll work on incident investigation, data processing support and collaboration with developers and IT teams, with a hybrid 3-days in the Bristol office and the rest from home. Candidates should have solid application support experience and strong troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in application support, technical support or IT operations environments.
• Experience developing subject matter expertise within the applications and services they support.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate incidents and identify root causes.
• Knowledge of Windows Server environments, application monitoring and system performance management.
• SQL querying skills and an understanding of data processing concepts.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and experience using service management or ticketing tools.
• Exposure to technologies such as PowerShell, IIS, ITIL practices, software deployments, change management or disaster recovery activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring applications, automated workflows and server environments to maintain performance and availability.
• Investigating incidents, performance issues and error messages, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• Processing client data files and supporting the delivery of customer communications.
• Supporting Windows server environments, software releases, upgrades and change activities.
• Working with developers, infrastructure teams and service delivery managers to resolve issues and support new solutions.
• Contributing to disaster recovery activities, technical projects, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
