Job description

Kames is looking for a Husbandry Operative to work on their Loch Melfort sites near Kilmelford in Argyll.

This is a full time permanent role with a salary between £27,500 and £30,500 a year depending on experience, plus bonus scheme, company pension, training and overtime.

You will work as part of a small team caring for fish on sea sites served from Kames Pier between Lochgilphead and Oban.

You will carry out daily husbandry tasks to maintain high standards of fish health and welfare.

You will help with feeding, stock checks and routine site operations as required.

You will follow site procedures to support safe working and environmental responsibility.

You will contribute to the wider team by learning across different parts of the farm.

What you need

A serious interest in working outdoors in all weathers.

Willingness to learn fish husbandry skills and follow high welfare standards.

Reliability, good teamwork and a positive attitude.

Comfort working in a rural coastal environment and travelling to sites as required.
