Job description
Overview

Job DescriptionA fantastic opportunity to come and build a HSE function for a well established global FMCG business, being responsible for operations across several countries throughout EMEA. This newly created role is an opportunity to join a business who are rapidly growing, people centric and although they are a substantial size already, retain an entrepreneurial and agile nature to the way they do business. With HSE being spread out across various different functions of the business (HR, Operations, Supply Chain, Technical etc), the time is now right to bring in dedicated resource to build a HSE function from the ground up.

Responsibilities

The role will be really interesting - you will need to be hands on to begin with, building relationships with key stakeholders and really getting a good understanding of what works and what doesn't in terms of systems, processes and people. You will be able to build in the DNA of what HSE looks like across the region, with the sharing of best practice and integration, whilst still allowing for the nuances and particulars of each individual country. You'll get the chance to establish what the organisational design of the function looks like, and have high degrees of autonomy in decision making.

Benefits
  • This is an established business on a high growth journey. The role has huge potential to grow, through organic growth and through further business acquisitions.
  • A multi country remit with exposure to different cultures and ways of working (around 30-40% travel).
  • A genuinely supportive business that invests in its people - this comes across extremely well in their working environment, benefits and retention.
  • The chance to build a dedicated HSE function from scratch - a rare opportunity outside of a start up.
  • Capable and supportive colleagues - they have some of the best people in FMCG who mutually learn from each other so there is genuine room to improve and develop here.
  • Stability and commercial success - the business are growing and commercially have been consistently successful and growing with a clear vision for the future.
