Job summary

Gategroup in the United Kingdom is seeking an HR Shared Services Team Leader to steer a team of HR Administrators and deliver accurate, efficient, and customer-focused HR support across the employee lifecycle.

You’ll manage HR systems and data, drive continuous improvement, and lead HR transformation projects, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and GDPR while monitoring KPIs and SLAs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and managing a team.
• Knowledge of HRIS systems; Workday experience preferred.
• Knowledge of compliance checks related to employment law.
• Strong KPI, process improvement, and attention to detail skills.
• Knowledge of referencing (CAA & DfT) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the HR Shared Services team, managing workloads and service levels.
• Oversee end-to-end HR administration, including hiring, employee changes, family leave, benefits, leavers and pay changes.
• Lead the administration of Workday and keep employee data accurate and compliant.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation and GDPR.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs, produce management reporting and identify process improvements.
• Act as first escalation point for complex HR queries.
• Support HR projects, system implementations and organisational change.
• Ensure compliance with referencing and DBS requirements.
