Job summary

VolkerWessels UK is recruiting a proactive HR Service Coordinator to join our Shared Services team in Hoddesdon. You will deliver a high-quality HR transactional service across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding new starters to processing contract changes and maintaining accurate HR records.

Reporting to the HR Service Centre Leader, you will provide first-line HR guidance and support to managers, manage data quality and contribute to reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service, shared services, or contact centre environment.
• Strong communication skills with experience supporting customers by phone, email, and face-to-face.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Exceptional organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and HR or business systems such as iTrent and ServiceNow.
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Strong administrative capabilities with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• GCSE English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent, and equivalent experience demonstrating strong written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality HR transactional service across the employee lifecycle.
• Provide first-line HR guidance and support to employees and managers.
• Process HR documentation including offer letters, contract amendments, and employee record updates.
• Maintain accurate HR data and contribute to reporting and MI.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and provide outstanding customer service.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the HR Service Centre.
• Develop knowledge across multiple HR processes to contribute to a flexible team.
• Assist with wider HR Service Centre activities and projects as required.
