Job summary

A growing construction firm in the UK is seeking a keen HR & Recruitment Administrator to join their team. This office-based role will support both administration and recruitment activities for approximately 100 permanent employees and 500 contractors. Job Overview

We are working with a growing and successful construction company and are looking for a keen and enthusiastic HR & Recruitment Administrator to join the business ASAP. This office-based role is Monday to Friday (apply online only).

Reporting

Reporting into the HR Manager and providing support to approximately 100 permanent employees and up to 500 contractors. The focus of the role is generalist HR administration support and recruitment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the HR Manager by managing day‑to‑day HR administration and supporting all recruitment activities.
  • Handle HR administration tasks including HR letters, contracts, filing, and processing starters and leavers.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Support and oversee recruitment: advertise vacancies, manage applications, telephone screening, organise interviews, assessments, and trial days.
  • Prepare interview packs and maintain recruitment trackers.
  • Collect, verify and process onboarding documentation to ensure compliance before mobilisation.
  • Schedule and coordinate induction sessions with key team members.
  • Prepare and distribute induction materials (handbooks, policies, welcome packs).
  • Co‑ordinate study enrolment forms.
  • Arrange study travel/accommodation where required.
Qualifications

Candidates should ideally have experience within a busy HR team supporting HR administration recruitment, or office administration experience with a passion for developing an HR career. A confident and outgoing approach with excellent communication and administration skills is required.
