  • Strong experience managing data quality, integrity, and large data sets.
  • Good understanding of GDPR, data protection, and retention requirements.
  • Experience of conducting audits and analysing data to drive improvement.

  • Intermediate/advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong written and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

Job Introduction

Are you detail-focused and passionate about compliance? We're looking for a HR Compliance Officer to join our People team on a six month secondment to help us maintain data integrity, manage audits, and improve processes across the HR function.

How you'll do it
  • Conduct audits across key HR areas such as payroll, DBS, Right to Work, safeguarding, and training compliance.
  • Support internal and external auditors, ensuring documentation, controls, and risk maps are maintained and up to date.
  • Support with NHG's certificate of sponsorship, SM&CR, DBS and data protection/security, ensuring full compliance.
  • Collaborate with HR Services and Systems colleagues to ensure payroll accuracy and maintain robust governance processes.
  • Review HR processes and identify opportunities to simplify, automate, or improve service delivery.
  • Work with digital teams to optimise HRIS functionality, support data migration, and strengthen data integrity.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to HR colleagues.

Hybrid arrangements - currently at least three days a week in our main office but more may be needed depending on work and interactions required.
