Job description
Purpose and Scope

As a Senior HR leader, the HR Cluster Lead is accountable for shaping and executing human resources strategy across a cluster of countries within the EMEA region. This role partners closely with Strategic Business partners, business leaders, HR Centers of Expertise (CoEs), and Shared Services to drive transformation, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure alignment between global initiatives and local execution.

Operating in a complex, matrixed environment, the HR Cluster Lead delivers expert guidance on all aspects of HR management—spanning strategic workforce planning, talent development, organizational design, and employee relations—while navigating local labor laws and labor relations frameworks. The role combines operational leadership with strategic influence, driving innovation and continuous improvement across both commercial and manufacturing organizations.

This role will be covering Sweden, Denmark, Finland, UK, Netherlands, Switzerland and Belgium.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with regional business objectives. Act as a trusted advisor to Strategic Business Partners, influencing organizational design, capability building, and cultural transformation.
  • People and Organizational Development: Deploy initiatives in talent management, performance enablement, succession planning, and leadership development to strengthen organizational capabilities and ensure business readiness.
  • HR Transformation & Change Leadership: Actively contribute to HR transformation efforts, including the implementation of matrix structures, digital tools, and operational process optimization. Champion change management practices to foster engagement and resilience.
  • Labor Relations & Compliance: Collaboration with ER team. May participate and contribute to overseeing employee relations matters, including works council and union negotiations. Ensure adherence to national labor laws and collective bargaining agreements, advising on regulatory risk and mitigation.
  • HR Service Delivery Oversight: Collaborate with HR CoEs and Shared Services to ensure seamless delivery of programs in recruitment, compensation & benefits, learning & development, and employee lifecycle management.
  • HR Data, Analytics & Systems: Leverage HRIS tools (e.g., Workday, Dovetail) for workforce insights, reporting, and process efficiency. Promote data integrity, user adoption, and digital HR solutions across the cluster.
  • Cross-Border Collaboration: Coordinate and align HR strategies across countries in the cluster. Share best practices, harmonize procedures where possible, and adapt to market-specific needs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervision
  • This position has direct repor ts in one or multiple countries .

Education and Required Credentials
  • Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree desirable

Experience and Skills
:
  • Extensive professional experience (approximately 10-12 years), including substantial (at least 5 years) managerial experience, as well as in-depth knowledge of Human Resources. Multi-country experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to be an agent of change.

  • It is resilient and can navigate challenging or difficult situations with the ability to hold crucial conversations.

  • Collaborates at all levels through listening, sharing, and building upon ideas, challenging others’ ideas respectfully, compromises and adapts to achieving common goals that are the best interests of the organization, and the teams involved.

  • Competence in software applications relating to human resources such as case management systems and Workday is preferred along with the suite of Microsoft Office products.

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills - both written and verbal including English

  • Can work independently and can manage multiple competing priorities.

  • Has strong business acumen in addition to Human Resources skills.

  • Has an unquestionable commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and privacy.

  • Healthcare experience a plus.
