We are working in partnership with a public sector organisation based in Warwick, who are recruiting for a HR Business Partner on a temporary six-month contract.
The role is paying £230 per day and includes hybrid working.
Duties will include (but are not limited to) :
- Providing expert advice on employment and recruitment matters across the company and partner organisations, applying best practice and constructively challenging where appropriate
- Managing an employee relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance and performance issues
- Ensuring legal compliance by keeping professional knowledge up to date and leading the development, review, and implementation of HR policies
- Supporting management activity, including reorganisations and workforce remodelling, aligning outcomes with service needs, strategic priorities, and legal requirements
- Building positive and effective relationships with employees and trade union representatives to support service development, manage change, and resolve conflict
- Leading and embedding the Corporate Equality & Diversity Strategy and Apprenticeship Scheme, ensuring compliance, inclusion, and effective workforce development
- Maintaining accurate HR systems, reporting, and workforce data, and support delivery of the People Strategy to achieve corporate objectives
Skills, knowledge and expertise required :
- CIPD qualified (or working towards) with significant HR experience (typically 5+ years) in a professional HR role
- Strong experience in employee relations, recruitment, policy development, and advising managers across a range of people issues
- Proven ability to support organisational change, including restructuring and workforce initiatives
- Sound knowledge of employment law, equality legislation, and experience working in a unionised environment
- Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to operate at all levels and manage competing priorities
- Experience of job evaluation, coaching, mediation, or delivering HR training (desirable)
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with political awareness and a flexible approach to work (desirable)
Working hours :
- 35 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
