Job summary

Sanctuary Housing Association is seeking a Housing Support Assistant to oversee daily operations across supported housing sites in Basildon. You’ll be the first contact for tenants, coordinate health and safety checks, and maintain compliant property records.

Travel between schemes is required, with a focus on tenancy sustainment and customer relations. We offer a supportive, not-for-profit environment with generous leave, pension, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering tenancy services.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Literacy and numeracy skills to GCSE level C or equivalent.
• Experience using housing management systems desirable.
• Full valid driving licence and ability to travel between schemes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the supported housing service to deliver an effective housing management service.
• Be the first point of contact for tenants and respond to queries to enable tenancy sustainment.
• Travel to different supported living properties within your patch to complete health & safety checks.
• Maintain property files to evidence compliance.
• Build positive relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Manage supplies, furniture and equipment and keep records up to date.
