Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Basildon is seeking a Housing Support Assistant to oversee the day-to-day running of our supported housing service at Phoenix House, Basildon. You’ll be the first point of contact for tenants and will travel between schemes to complete weekly health and safety checks.

The role requires GCSE English and Maths (grade C), NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, a full driving licence, and basic Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C) required.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant area.
• Full valid driving licence essential.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the supported housing service to deliver an effective housing management service.
• Be the first point of contact for tenants living in supported living and respond to queries to enable tenancy sustainment.
• Travel to different supported living properties within your patch to complete required weekly and monthly Health & Safety checks.
• Be responsible for maintaining property files to evidence compliance.
• Build positive relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Manage supplies, furniture and equipment and keep records and filing systems up to date.
