Job summary

Build Recruitment is seeking a proactive Scheduler to join a social housing repairs team in Shaftesbury. You will coordinate repairs, schedule trades, and maintain accurate records to ensure tenants receive timely service.

The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling or planning, strong organisational and IT skills (Microsoft Office and internal scheduling systems), and a professional, customer‑focused approach to adapt to changing priorities and workloads.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in scheduling, planning or coordination.
• Experience within social housing, property maintenance or the construction sector is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload.
• Confident communicating with tenants, operatives and colleagues.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and internal scheduling systems.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and managing changing priorities.
• Professional and customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate appointments for tradespeople.
• Liaise with tenants to arrange convenient appointment times and provide updates.
• Monitor job progress and ensure works are completed within agreed timescales.
• Communicate with operatives, supervisors and contract managers to manage daily workloads.
• Update internal systems and maintain accurate records of jobs and appointments.
• Handle incoming calls, emails and enquiries professionally.
• Identify and resolve scheduling issues, cancellations and missed appointments.
• Work closely with the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the contract.
