Job summary

Solos Consultants Ltd is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join a busy Tenancy Management Team in Bristol. You will manage a designated housing patch, overseeing tenancies from start to finish and supporting tenants to sustain their tenancies.

The role handles tenancy breaches, ASB and complex housing matters, working with tenants, partner agencies and colleagues to resolve issues and improve local communities. A CIH qualification is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, public-sector or third-sector services.
• Understanding of tenancy management and housing legislation.
• Experience managing caseloads or a designated patch.

Responsibilities

• Manage a designated patch of tenancies and housing sites.
• Prioritise and manage a varied caseload.
• Deal with tenancy breaches and anti-social behaviour (ASB).
• Identify tenant support needs and make referrals.
• Handle complaints and complex enquiries from residents.
• Collaborate with residents, partner agencies and colleagues.
• Attend multi-agency meetings, case conferences and resident groups.
• Maintain accurate housing and case-management records.

Location: Bristol, BS1

Contract: Temporary, initially 3 months

Hours: 37 hours per week

Positions: 3

Working pattern: Hybrid - office, onsite and home working

Driving licence: Required - pool car available

DBS: Standard DBS required

About the Role

• Maintain accurate housing and case-management records.
• Support initiatives to improve local communities and housing estates.

About You

You will have previous experience within housing, public-sector or third-sector services, along with an understanding of tenancy management and relevant housing legislation.

You will also have experience managing caseloads or a designated patch and working effectively with tenants, partner agencies and colleagues.

A CIH or equivalent housing qualification is desirable but not essential.
