Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Housing Officer on a 6-month hybrid contract to manage a caseload of general needs tenants and properties. You will handle tenancy issues, rent arrears, and safeguard concerns, ensuring compliant housing management and timely actions.

You will provide support and advice to tenants, liaise with authorities, and maintain accurate records while delivering a professional service to vulnerable residents.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a caseload of general needs tenants.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and tenancy sustainment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and comply with legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of general needs tenants and properties, ensuring effective tenancy and housing management.
• Deal with tenancy issues, breaches of tenancy, ASB, safeguarding and tenancy sustainment.
• Manage rent arrears, working with tenants to agree repayment arrangements and taking legal action where required, including preparing cases and attending court for possession and arrears cases.
• Carry out tenancy visits and inspections, identifying and resolving issues at an early stage.
• Provide advice and support to tenants, including signposting to relevant welfare, financial and support services.
• Liaise with internal departments, external agencies, local authorities and legal representatives to resolve housing-related issues.
• Ensure accurate records are maintained and all actions comply with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Provide a professional, customer-focused service while managing challenging situations and supporting vulnerable tenants.
